Drawing attention to the lack of text books in government primary schools in Ahthibung area, comprising of around 40 schools, Kuki Students Organization Nagaland (KSON) has appealed the concerned department to look into the plight of the schools.
A press release by KSON president, Paotinsei and secretary education & statistics, H. Singsit stated that around 40 schools are deprived of text books even after the schools are running for more than two months.
It stated that this was most discouraging and a major setback for the students as well as the teachers as schools cannot run without text books.
KSON has therefore appealed the concerned department to do the needful at the earliest with utmost sincerity for the welfare of the students in general.
