KSTM objects to misuse of ‘Mangkolemba’ name

DIMAPUR: Khar Citizens’ Union, Mangkolemba (KSTM) has strongly objected the use of “Mangkolemba” for a multipurpose hall located at Longtho village, as clarified by the concerned department.
In a statement, KSTM president, Aomeren and secretary, Ariensa asserted that the name “Mangkolemba” carries the history, identity and ancestral connection of Khar village, and is inseparably linked with it. It maintained that there is only one Mangkolemba, and any other usage disregards its historical and customary significance while misrepresenting the actual location of the project.
The Union cautioned that it would not tolerate any misuse or misrepresentation of the name and called upon the authorities to ensure its proper, accurate and appropriate use in all official records, communications and public projects.
