KSU conducts sanitation-cum-plantation driveKSU conducts sanitation-cum-plantation drive

As part of its 75th anniversary to be celebrated on 2023, Kigwema Students Union (KSU) kick started a campaign, by carrying out sanitation-cum-plantation drive on July 30, at Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) monolith, Kigwema.

In a press release, KSU stated that the programme was organized under the guidance and patronage of advisor, Technical Education and Election and chairman DPDB, Kohima, Medo Yhokha.

Before planting the first sapling, Yhokha encouraged the Kigwema Students Union members to have a clear vision by reminding them that the opportunities and privileges they are enjoying was a gift from God.

He therefore, asked them to commit and take responsibilities and give thier best for the future generation.

He also lauded the initiative taken by the union and said that ultimate goal was to see how many of the saplings planted today will mature and bear fruit and benefit the generation to come.

“A tree planted today will not give the benefit to you but it is the future generation who will reap its benefits,” he added.

A total of 100 Rhododendron saplings were planted during the drive.
