KSU, PRSU condemn alleged molestation of minors

Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU) and Pathso Range Students Union (PRSU) have condemned the alleged molestation of two minors by former DC Noklak, Reny Wilfred.

In a condemnation note, KSU media cell that KSU being indigenous guardian of the future of Khiamniungans cannot remain as mere spectator to any social elements and urged upon law enforcing agencies to thoroughly investigate on the case free from any outside interference.
Appealing that the culprit (s) be booked under relevant sections of law, KSU said that it would keep a close watch on the handling of the case.
In this regard, it said that any miscreants involved would be seriously noted and there would be no space for “outrageous person in the ancestral land of Khiamniungan”.
Reminding that “delaying tactics to deliver justice is denying justice to the innocent victims”, the union urged upon the responsible agencies for speedy deliverance of justice and warned not to test the patience of the peace loving people.
Meanwhile, PRSU in a condemnation note through its information and publicity team alleged that “the incident occurred at his official residence and practiced silencing of victims, for long, with threat using his position”. 
The union stated that such person should not have any place in the society and must be uprooted once and for all by rewarding stringent legal actions. 
The union further requested responsible authorities to carry out fair investigation and deliver justice to the victims without any delay and bias and with same yardstick as per the law of land.
