KSU undertakes ‘education initiatives’

As decided at its executive meeting to undertake the “Education Initiatives”, the Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) held a coordination meeting with principal and vice principal of government higher secondary schools and Wangkhao government college to accommodate students who could not avail admissions due to insufficient infrastructure.

In a press release, KSU president T. Noklem Konyak and general secretary A. Pangnan informed that the union with the help of the amount received from well-wishers arranged 30 desks and benches.

The union handed over 10 pairs of bench and desk to principal of both schools and Wangkhao government college.

KSU stated that on its visit, the union learned that even after a representation was served to the concerned authority, government higher secondary school Mon was functioning without a single sociology PGT. It also found that Ukha Changkhong GPS was functioning without a single teacher.

In this regard, KSU urged the responsible authority to appoint adequate number of teachers in the said schools at the earliest.
