KSUK inaugurates libraryunder ‘education for all’

Konyak Students’ Union Kohima (KSUK) in collaboration with Lampong Sheanghah Students’ Union inaugurated it first library under their project, “Education for All” at Lampong Sheanghah, Mon on Saturday.


Gracing the occasion as special guest, DEO Mon, I Moala Aier, encouraged the students to make the best use of the library and also challenged the parents to teach their children to read more as today’s generation children were spending more time in mobile phones and other gadgets.


She also congratulated KSUK on achieving its vision and Lampong Sheanghah Student’s Union for being the first village to start the Library under this project.
In a short speech, KSUK president, M Honli Konyak, highlighted about the goals of the project and the vision, the union have in the future.


She also spoke on the difficulties and challenges the union faced while starting the project.
She thanked Kohima College, Kohima and Don Bosco College, Kohima for donating enough books and all the well-wishers and donors for their prayers and help to the union both in cash and kind.
A total of 1000 books were donated by the KSUK to the library. Earlier, the dedicatory prayer was offered by pastor, Phuktong Baptist Church, L Akuh.


Invocation was offered by Mariam, women assoc pastor Mariam, while president, LSSU, Golang Kheman delivered the welcome note.


Special number was presented by Manpai Konyak while short speeches were delivered by Konyak Students Union (Apex) and angh, Lampong Sheanghah, Shingwang.
Vote of thanks was proposed by general secretary LSSU, Chingteih Wangnao, while youth assoc pastor, Matpai offered the benediction.
