Kohima Tsungiki Khumshum (KTK), Tsungiki Village Council (TVC) and Tsungiki Youth Organization (TYO) have condemned the alleged vandalism of its member NSN Senchumo Lotha’s vehicle at his private residence, Lower Agri Colony Kohima on July 27.
In a condemnation note, KTK said its members would not be cowed down by this kind of despicable act. KTK has urged upon the concerned authority to take serious note of the matter and book the culprits and award exemplary punishment as per the law.
TVC: Condemning the incident, TVC chairman Pilamo Ezung and secretary Bipomo Kikon said such criminal acts perpetrated against its citizen was uncalled for as Senchumo NSN Lotha was a prominent and peace loving leader.
The council said that the very act of removing the official name plate from the vehicle was beyond any comprehension especially in a democratic country.
While stating that Senchumo nor any other political leader/s deserve such insults and intimidations, the TVC urged the concerned authorities to promptly act according to the FIR lodged by the victim and book and award befitting punishment as per law of the land.
TYO: TYO president, J Yanpvuo Kikon and general secretary, W Shanchothung Ngullie also condemned the “cowardly act” of vandalism and urged the law enforcement authority to duly investigate the case and to book the culprit at the earliest.
