Konyak Union (KU) has vehemently condemned the barbaric murdered of late. Ngangwang konyak son of Chaowang Konyak of Totok Chingnyu village, who went missing from Bihobor Assam on April 26, and found his headless dead body on May 7 between Simulguri and Nazira under Sivasagar district of Assam. In a press release, KU president, S. Manlip Konyak and general secretary, Hosea Konyak appealed to the law enforcing agencies of both Sivasagar district and Mon district to book the culprits immediately to avoid unnecessary misunderstanding and tension in the border areas. KU appealed to all civil societies, NGOs of border areas (Bihobor-Simulguri-Nazira Assam and Naganimora Nagaland) to cooperate in order to arrest the main accused involved in the murder case. KU stated that it would not rest until the accused and co-accused is arrested by the law enforcing agencies of the two districts.
