Konyak Union Dimapur (KUD) has appealed to the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) to recall the rejected councillors of the five tribal hohos.
In a press release, KUD president A Mosa Konyak and general secretary M Jeange Yanlem said the union at a consultative meeting held on August 12, 2021 reaffirmed its stand that the mandated councillors sent by the respective tribal hohos should by no means be rejected by NCD. In this regard, the union has urged the NCD to go for the democratic norms while selecting the NCD new team consisting of all the councillors mandated by the respective tribal hohos. KUD said it was one of the signatories at the August 10 Dimapur tribal Hoho Forum meeting attended by 11 tribes.
Maintaining that NCD was the only platform where all the Naga tribal hohos get the equal privilege, the KUD said that absence of even a single tribe’s participation was incomplete.
