KU lauds Rio, Acharya

 Konyak Union (KU) has extended its appreciation to Lok Sabha MP Neiphiu Rio and Nagaland governor P.B. Acharya for adopting Longwa village as MP model village under Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna (SAGY).  SAGY was officially launched by the Prime Minister Narender Modi on the birth anniversary of Jayaprakash Narayan, on October 11, 2014. The adoption of Longwa village as Adarsh Gram or a model village was a rightful initiative in promoting cultural ties and tourism in the region, KU president S. Manlip Konyak and general secretary Honang Konyak. 
Further, KU expressed hope that in accordance to the contours of the scheme, all schools in Longwa should be felicitated with Smart Schools, Pucca Houses for the homeless, universal access to basic health facilities, universal PDS for eligible families, e-governance, etc.
