While expressing its inability to attend the NFHRCC meeting on January 28, Konyak Union however said whatsoever decision taken should be considered as legal and final and no other launching programme should be conducted under Mon sector and after this notification, adding that Konyak Union would be held responsible for any untoward situations arising out of the issue.
Konyak Union president S Manlip Konyak and the general secretary Y Hosea Konyak said as per the legal order and directives from the Govt. of Nagaland, and the Department of PWD (R&B), the construction of Foothills road was launched on December 22, 2014, and during the launching programme the concerned PWD department authority, apex KU body, land owners of the foothills road construction areas have attended the programme legally.
It further stated that if the PWD Department fails to excise its legal obligations on the matter, the KU would pursue the matter differently.
