
Konyak Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) under the aegis of Konyak Union (KU) at an emergency meeting held on Monday has decided to appeal to all the Naga political groups (NPGs) to avoid any movement with arms and ammunitions within Mon district jurisdiction.
In a press release, Konyak Union president S Howing and general secretary Wango Konyak said that any group that disrupted the situation would be “considered as the enemy of Konyaks.”
Further, the union stated that in case if any untoward incident happens, the Konyaks would not be held responsible.
Meanwhile, Konyak Union has convened an all-Konyak summit on January 18, 2022 to decide the future course of action if the demands were not fulfilled.
The Konyak Union has, therefore, requested all the nine Konyak elected legislators, all KU units and KU branches, all Konyak frontal organizations, representatives from every Konyak villages to attend the summit “positively and compulsorily.”
