The 32nd general session of Konyak Union Kohima (KUK) was held on September 11, at Konyak Baptist Church Kohima Complex.
In a press release, KUK general secretary, Khongjah Konyak informed that during the general session, KUK president Dr. W. Phola Konyak in his welcome address acknowledged the Konyak community residing in Kohima for extending cooperation towards KUK during the tenure 2017-2021.
KUK general secretary presented a report on general activities taken up by the union, followed by finance reports for the year 2019-2020 by finance secretary.
The house reviewed and discussed upon the standing resolutions and also passed some new resolutions.
The house also accepted the proposal brought by Changlangshu Village Kohima to host the forthcoming 2022 Konyak Aoleang.
During the meeting, an activity report booklet titled Konyak Union Kohima Wangpeang Peli (four years) mong me lingpu Ngaolai was dedicated and launched by pastor Moba.
Newly nominated KUK office bearers (2021-2024) led by Angnyei as president, Chatyam as general secretary and David Bo-üm as finance secretary were introduced by the nominating committee.
Earlier, the meeting was chaired by vice president Tongnyei who also proposed the vote of thanks while KBBK pastor Z. Mankup said the invocation. The meeting was attended by KNSK, KSUK, area office bearers and KUK executive members.
