Kuki Union Dimapur urges government to expedite Foothill Road Project

The Kuki Union Dimapur (KUD) has appealed to the government of Nagaland to expedite all necessary formalities, including issuance of the work order, for the Foothill Road Project by March 31, 2026.
A press release by KUD chairman stated that the project, spanning approximately 395.8 km from Khelma in Peren district to Tizit in Mon district, is vital for improving connectivity, boosting economic activity, and fostering a more integrated and cosmopolitan environment across the state.
KUD further urged the government to prioritize the ongoing project and ensure its timely completion, reaffirming that the sanctioned two-lane Foothill Road should be executed without delay in the larger interest of Nagaland.
