Kukis observe Mimkut fest

Kuki community celebrated Mimkut (post harvest festival) on January 17, at Ahthibung town. The festival was graced by advocate-cum-social worker and ex-candidate of Ghaspani-II, Khaiminlun Tungnung Lun and ZKPO, president Lamjasei Singson.  Extending festive greetings, Lun called upon the fellow community irrespective of age, the necessity to protect one’s identity and rights by shedding away “ism” which was hampering unity and growth.
He called upon Kuki community to evolve a system of economic independence and self employment in the field of food and fruits products, without depending much on government job.
 Meanwhile, in the evening session, musical night was graced by advisor to the collective leadership, GPRN/NSCN C. Singson and (EAC) Athibung, Lithrila Sangtam.
