Khiamniungan Union Mokokchung (KUM) has appealed to the Mokokchung district police authority to unearth the reason behind the death of late Ledang, a class 5 student of Salangtem Government Primary School Mokokchung who was found dead in Dilong ward on June 26.
In a press release, KUM president K. Sangsa and general secretary T. Shingnyoh stated that late Ledang was found dead with several wounds on his body and spinal cord severely fractured.
The union further appealed to the concerned authority to carry out effective investigation to trace the cause of the death at the earliest. KUM also assured full cooperation during the period of investigation.
