Kumlong Ward clinches 4th MokokchungTown Inter-Ward Volleyball tournament title

In a thrilling finale held at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Thursday night, Kumlong Ward emerged victorious over Mongsenbai Ward to lift the 4th Mokokchung Town Inter-Ward Volleyball Tournament 2025 title.
The high-octane final match kept spectators on the edge of their seats as both teams battled fiercely across five sets. Kumlong Ward clinched the championship with a hard-fought 3–2 win, registering set scores of 25-20, 19-25, 25-20, 23-25, and 17-15.
As champions, Kumlong Ward walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 50,000, along with a trophy and certificates. Mongsenbai Ward, the runners-up, received Res. 30,000, a trophy, and citations for their commendable performance.
Earlier in the evening, the closing ceremony of the tournament was held with Executive Engineer of the Electrical Division, Mokokchung, Er. Chutsusie Thowachu, gracing the occasion as the guest of honour. He also gave away the prizes to the winners and individual awardees. Individual accolades were presented to outstanding players of the tournament. Aongsen from Kumlong was named Best Setter, while his teammate Imtirenba bagged the Best Spiker award. Bendangmeren from Mongsenbai was adjudged Player of the Tournament. Each individual award included a citation and a cash prize.
