Kusumjit impressed with Kikruma fish culture

As part of the programme organized by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) under the leadership of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, Union Secretary of Law and Justice, Kusumjit Eiddhu, visited Kikruma village in Phek district on January 11.
It was an innovative programme conceived by the Prime Minister for all the Secretaries, Government of India, to know more about the place of posting wherever they posted during their probationary period. The main objective of the programme was to assess on how the village area has been developing and to report some of the basic needs suggested by the villagers during their assessment period.
Eiddhu was impressed by the way the villagers of Kikruma reared fish along with paddy plants in a panni kheti when she was posted as IAS probationer in Phek district. It is also understood that she was the DC Phek during the early 1990s. During her visit, she interacted with the villagers and took note of their problems and grievances with due regard.
Welcome note was delivered by Village Council Chairman, Kikruma, Vezohu Tunyi. She was accompanied by Additional Secretary of Law and Justice K Koza, ADC Pfütsero T Nchumbemo Odyuo, SDPO Pfütsero, Naieem Mustafa Mansury, and other officials.
