Khonoma Village Council (KVC) has extended a warm welcome to all the delegates coming to attend the 26th Naga Student Federation general conference to be held from May 13-16 at Khonoma village. In a press release, KVC secretary Kevisekho Chücha has expressed gratitude to the president and colleagues of NSF, the organizers and the hosts’ village, Angami Students Union (ASU) for choosing Khonoma as the venue. KVC said it was a moment of pride for the village to be a part of the important event. He expressed optimism that the deliberations emanating out of the conference would be fruitful and positive, for the betterment of the student community and the Nagas in general. Reiterating its earlier resolution on ban of sale and use of intoxicating substances in the village, the Council also appealed to all the delegates to abstain from it and to maintain good moral behaviour being educated and responsible citizens while upholding the image of the well respected NSF.
He also appealed to the delegates to contribute their efforts in maintaining a clean and healthy surrounding during their stay. The union has expressed optimism that the conference would be an enlightening and educative experience for the youths and wishes everyone a comfortable stay.
