KVK Mon organizes training on soil health management

KrishiVigyan Kendra (KVK) Mon organized on-campus training on soil health management from June 27 – 28. During the training, while delivering keynote address, programme co-ordinator, KVK Aboi, Dr. Ruokouvilie Mezhatsu highlighted the importance of soil health and encouraged the farmers to go for green manuring, vermi composting etc. In technical session, SMS (soil conservation), Imtinuksung emphasized on the need for soil liming, collection of soil and operation of GPS in soil sampling. He also demonstrated on pH reading and organic carbon content of soil. The programme was chaired by SMS (soil conservation) followed by an invocation prayer by pastor Ao fellowship, Aboi Town, Rev. I. Sosang. The programme concluded with the distribution of soil health card.
