KVK, NU Zbto celebrates World honey bee day

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Nagaland University, Zunheboto celebrated “World honey bee day” on August 19 at Litta New village. 
SMS (Plant protection), Toshi Longkumer highlighted on the significance of the celebration. He stressed upon the importance and role of honey bees in agriculture and to conserve honey bee since without honey bees, the human race would extinct in few years. 
Head G.B. Litta New village, Kakuto also encouraged the villagers to actively participate in honey bee rearing. The programme concluded with distribution of bee boxes in the village. Altogether 51 farmers participated in the programme.
