Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Phek organised training on vermicomposting production for Assam Rifles jawans stationed at Pfutsero on October 18 as a part of capsule on developing habit of gardening as a stress management tool.
A press release by Krishi Vigyan KendraPhek stated that the training was conducted by ACTO-Soil Science, KVK Phek, ICAR-NRCM, Dr. T. Esther Longkumer.
At the training, she briefed the jawans about the world soil conditions and the causes of soil degradation and vermicompost production.
She also urged the Assam Rifles jawans to take up vermicompost technology to manage the kitchen waste.
