Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Nagaland University, Lumami, Zunheboto conducted farmers scientist interaction programme on January 28 at Litta New Village, V.K. Town. The programme was sponsored by ATMA, Zunheboto District.
During the interaction, diseases and nutrient management of farm animals and poultry birds were discussed during the session. Interactions were also made on plant diseases and insect pests’ infestations and its management.
Meanwhile, scientists also discussed on importance and economics of locally available broom sticks in abundance and has encouraged the SHGs to take the initiatives for the cultivation.
Later, HQPM maize seeds and Trichodermma for seeds and soil treatments were distributed among the participants.
Resource person of the programme were SMS (GPB & Agronomy), Dr. Visakho Shunyu, SMS animal science Dr. Nongothung and SMS plant protection Toshi Longkumer.
