Deputy Commissioner of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (Tinsukia Region), T. Pritam Singh, visited Kendriya Vidyalaya Rangapahar Cantt, Dimapur, on July 17. He was welcomed by the school principal and staff, with NCC cadets presenting a guard of honour. Students also greeted him in traditional Naga attire.
During the visit, Singh interacted with students and encouraged them to dream big, strive for excellence in academics, and take full advantage of platforms offered by KVS. He later held a meeting with the teaching staff to discuss implementation of effective, child-centric teaching and learning practices.
He stressed the importance of meeting goals for foundational literacy and numeracy in primary education, and called on staff to continue working with dedication in line with KVS’s vision.
A key meeting was also held with Vidyalaya Management Committee Chairman Brig. C. Vasanta Kumar and officials of CWE, MES to review ongoing construction of the school’s permanent building. Singh emphasised timely completion of the new facility and regular maintenance of the existing one. Brig. Kumar assured full support and coordination from the sponsoring authority.
The visit highlighted the need for quality infrastructure and a positive academic environment for the overall development of students at KV Rangapahar Cantt.
