KVYO objects to ‘tender permit’ issued by KMC

Despite prior request to the municipal department, the Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) has alleged that the KMC had gone ahead and issued “tender permit” to individuals.
KVYO in a press note by president Medozhatuo Rutsa and general secretary, Kezhalelie Keretsu stated that while re-affirming its stand against monopoly, KVYO strongly condemns the action and request the concerned authority as to why the tender permit was granted to those individuals. KVYO also stated that while they had no restriction in issuing “tender permit” on luxury goods, the office was completely against monopolising business on essential commodities as this would affect the general public. KVYO has therefore requested the KMC administrator to revoke the tender permits within a week (7-days) failing which the organisation would be compelled to take its own course of action.
