LASU warns against obstruction of development

DIMAPUR: Longchang Area Students’ Union (LASU) has expressed concern over the slow progress of developmental works in the region, attributing the stagnation primarily to disruptions caused by multiple taxation.
In a statement, LASU president, K.Methnyei and press and media secretary, Mannye Konyak cautioned all organisations, NGOs and individuals against engaging in practices that obstruct development within Longchang jurisdiction. The union appealed to all stakeholders to refrain from any action that may sabotage ongoing and future projects.
It further warned that any individual or group found obstructing developmental work undertaken for the welfare of the people would be held accountable.
LASU asserted that decisive action would be taken within its mandate to ensure such practices cease immediately.
