The launching programme for the construction of RCC bridge at Dikhu river Longleng – Chuchuyimlang Mokokchung road took place on November 8 at the bridge point Mongtikang village Longleng.
The event was attended by MLA 22 A/C Arkakong Mokokchung, Nuklutoshi and MLA 50 A/C Longleng A.Pongshi Phom, A DIPR report informed that Nuklutoshi in his address encouraged the gathering to not talk about different communities or political parties but to coordinate together and talk about developmental works.
He said the people of Longleng were fortunate to have Pongshi as their MLA who loves and works for his people. He also assured that within their tenure the two hydro projects will be completed and the council road will be cleared which will tackle the unemployment issues in the region and create more job opportunities.
With the completion of the project the spot will be a tourist attraction and generate revenues and where local business will flourish and many other avenues will turn up.
A. Pongshi in his speech thanked his colleagues for making the event possible. He said the idea to implement the project was possible with the cooperation of Nuklutoshi, who provided support, ideas and logistics.
He also thanked chief minister Neiphiu Rio for his trust and approving the project.
Short speeches was also delivered by president Langpangkong Tsukong Mongtang, N. Watitoshi, president PPC Y.B. Angam Phom, EE PWD (R&B) Longleng S. Toshi Angh, Pukyung Phom, P/Leader, chairman Village Council Chuchuyimlang, chairman village Council Hukphang, chairman Village Council Salulamang, and chairman Village Council Mongtikang.
Earlier, welcome address was delivered by chairman village council Pongching and invocation by pastor Namching Baptist Church and the programme was chaired by, Pangshom Phom.
