Laying of annual administrative reports/rules during the 6th session of the 14th NLA

The annual administrative reports of various departments were laid during the sixth session of the 14th NLA held at the NLA Hall, Kohima on March 6.


According to a DIPR report, chief minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio laid the Annual Administrative Report 2024-25 of the following departments – Personnel & Administrative Reforms, Information & Public Relations, Excise & Prohibition, Underdeveloped Areas, Law & Justice, Urban Development, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Land Resources, Home, and Border Affairs.


Chief minister, Dr. Neiphiu Rio also laid the following Reports/ Rules – The Nagaland Food Processing Industries Policy (NFPIP), The Nagaland Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Rules, 2024, Rules for Administration of Urban Station Committees: Nagaland 2024, Nagaland New & Renewable Energy Service Rules, 2018, and The Nagaland Registration of Births and Deaths (Amendment) Rules 2024.


Minister of Public Health Engineering and Cooperation, Jacob Zhimomi presented to the House the Annual Administrative Report 2024-2025 of Public Health Engineering and Cooperation Departments. Minister of Health & Family Welfare, P. Paiwang Konyak laid the Annual Administrative Report 2024-2025 of Health & Family Welfare and Transport Departments.


Minister of Health & Family Welfare, P. Paiwang Konyak also laid “The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules for Excluded Areas, Assam, 2025, in force in the State of Nagaland.”
Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Power, K. G. Kenye laid the “Sixth Report of the Rules Committee (2024-2025).”


Passing of Government Bills
The following bills were passed on the third day of the sixth session of the 14th NLA on March 6 – The Nagaland Town and Country Planning (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2025” and “Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (Validation) Bill, 2025.”


Introduction of Government Bills
The following bills were introduced on the third day of the sixth session of the 14th NLA on March 6 – “The Rules for Administration of Justice and Police in Nagaland (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2025,” “The Nagaland Work-Charged and Casual Employees Regulation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2025” and “Nagaland Goods and Services Tax (Tenth Amendment) Bill, 2024.”


CM presents budget documents
Chief minister and minister-in-charge of Finance, Dr. Neiphiu Rio presented the ‘Regularization of Excess Expenditure for the Year 2017-2018 (As recommended by the PAC bats 132nd report 2023-24),’ ‘Review of the Trends in Receipts and Expenditure for the First, Second and Third Quarter of the year 2024-25 (as required under Section 11 of the Nagaland Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2005),’ ‘Supplementary Demand for Grants for the year 2024-25,’ and ‘Statement under the Nagaland Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act 2025.’
