Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting of Sainik School Punglwa (SSP) was held on November 19 presided over by Maj. Gen. Pankaj Kaushik, COS 3 Corps and LBA chairman.
A press release from SSP stated that, the general officer on his arrival was accorded a guard of honour by senior cadets of the school and briefed about the school by principal Gp Capt Sharad R Keskar. He visited the school’s academic block, labs and club houses, Capt Kenguruse mess, hostels area, Living quarters area, and ongoing construction site.
He also inaugurated a waste management and vermi compost plant which was newly constructed at the school grounds.
During his address to the cadets, the general officer stated that the school, despite being young, was doing well in academics. He was impressed by the positivity among all the cadets. He further advised the cadets to aim and pursue studies seriously and above all to develop good characters.
The meeting was also attended by Pollem Tep, additional director and nodal officer, directorate of Education; C Wangam EAC (DC representative), Peren; Er Pukrouvizo Kera, superintendent engineer, PWD (Housing); Er Kelechuto Pienyu, executive engineer PWD (H) Education Division; Dr LK Baishya sr scientist ICAR, Jharnapani; Menlom EAC (P) Jalukie and Er Kedovisie B Meyase, parents representative and Col Rajesh Benda, Col GS (Edn), Lt Col M K Meitei, administrative officer, Sqn Ldr Sanjeev Chaudhary, vice principal.
