The Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA) Men Department convened a one-day seminar on July 15 at Liangmai Baptist Church, Nkwareu, under Peren district. Spearheaded by men secretary Rev. N.K. Joseph Zeliang, the event brought together faith leaders and church members to reflect on the spiritual foundations of family leadership and community bonding.
According toa DIPR report, key resource persons included faculty at North East Christian University (NECU) Dimapur, Dr. Albert M. Chawang, and mission secretary of LBA, Amos Zeliang. The seminar focused on aligning family life with biblical values and nurturing spiritual resilience. In his address, Dr. Albert emphasized the importance of vision-driven families rooted in Christian teachings. He advocated for shared practices like prayer and Bible study to foster unity and purpose. “Families should live by principles of love, forgiveness, honesty, and service,” he stated, encouraging parents to lead by example and embody faith-based virtues.
In the second session, Amos Zeliang delivered insights on the theme “Anchored in Christ,” highlighting the strength and stability that come from unwavering faith. Drawing parallels with an anchor securing a ship, he stressed that true security lies not in worldly possessions but in a deep relationship with Christ. He called upon believers to remain steadfast and cultivate trust, commitment, and connection through faith.
As part of the day’s activities, the LBA Men Department organized a talent contest and distributed seed money to all affiliated churches under the association, fostering encouragement and continued growth at the grassroots level.
