Joining the rest of the world, Lotha Baptist Church Diphupar (LBCD) also observed Good Friday to mark the occasion.
According to DIPR, Pastor of LBCD, Limhathung Lotha, who was the main speaker of the day, exhorted the congregation on the merits and virtue of a forgiving heart. “Jesus died on the cross to forgive your sins so if you do not have a heart to forgive others the cross is not yours” he said.
Marking the day, special songs were presented by School Colony and Ajano and friends, Daisy Shitio read scripture while associate pastor Wopansao Ovung chaired the programme.
On the occasion, 24 youngsters were baptized and they became members of the church.
LBCD associate pastor, Yimtsu Lotha handed over the baptism recognition certificates to the baptized.
The church service was followed by the Lord’s Supper led by Pastor Limhathung, wherein all the church members including the newly baptized members took part, remembering the last supper of Christ with His disciples.
