LBCD two-day carnival concludes

Two-day carnival organized by the youth department of Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur (LBCD) came to a conclusion, here Tuesday night.
More than 500 youth from sectors under LBCD took part in various carnival games organized by members of the youth department.
Main attractions of Tuesday night were minute to win it, X-factor and choreography competition.
Earlier in the afternoon other competitions including literature, musical plays, photography and talent hunt were conducted.
Youths from Notun Basti and Lonki sectors bagged the first and second positions respectively in the X-factor while best photography of the carnival went to Elithung Ngullie.
Members of the youth department from various sectors performed in turns as the crowd slowly swelled owing to the good music and recreational games.
Associate youth director Benlanthung Yanthan said the turnout for the carnival was more than they had expected and that all the youth were having fun. He added the time between Christmas and New Year mostly goes without any recreational activity for the youth.
The organizers said they were hopeful of making the carnival a yearly event as most of the youths studying or working elsewhere come to the city to spend winter holidays with their family. They said it was a good opportunity to keep the youth busy with “healthier activities”.
