Lotha Baptist Church Phek Town (LBCP) celebrated golden jubilee on April 5-6, 2025, under the theme, “In Awe of God’s Grace.”
The event brought together congregants, Church leaders, past members and well-wishers to reflect on five decades of faith, resilience and divine providence.
Extending greetings, Rev. Dr. K. Benry Lotha, sr. pastor, KLBC, underscored the centrality
of God’s grace in the church’s journey, drawing from the theme, “God’s grace is sufficient for us.”
“From reconciliation to salvation, every milestone of LBCP rests on unmerited favour,” he said, highlighting how grace enabled the church’s growth despite challenges.
He encouraged the members were to “brighten the corner” they occupy by serving selflessly.
Second speaker, Rev. Dr. R. P. Murry, Home Evangelist, DLBC, echoed the theme,
“Amazing grace of God.”
He called upon the church members to cherish and thank God for His wondrous love.
“The moment we truly repent and accept God as our Saviour, He will work through us and we will become the Home of the Holy Spirit and that’s the Amazing grace of God”, he said.
Speaker of the closing service, Zanbemo Kithan, pastor Yikhum Baptist Church, elaborated on the theme, “Profess the love of God,” declaring that God’s love was undying, unwavering and everlasting and implored the people to reconcile and love one another and spread the love of God.
Earlier, the golden jubilee monolith was earlier unveiled by Rev. Nyanchumo Lotha, executive secretary LBCA calling upon God’s continued favour over the church, nurturing its growth and guiding its people for the years ahead.
The celebration also witnessed warm greetings, performances from the Sunday school children, melodious rendition from the Jubilee Choir, Yentssoe Von, Jipopoe thungi yanpi wopanden, Noyingrhoni Kithan and Zujano Shitiri.
The jubilee festivities culminated with prayers for renewed zeal, embodying the true spirit of the celebration.
