Lotha Baptist Ekhümkho -churches (LBE) seniors held its 45th Kohima-Dimapur yearly gathering programme. The two-day gathering which was held under the theme “With faith will begin” culminated here Sunday, at United Baptist Church, near district jail, Dimapur.
The culmination programme was carried out on the theme “Serve the Lord with humility” (Phil 2:3-5), wherein the devotional programme was chaired by Borlengri Lotha Baptist Church, pastor reverend Arhonthung Odyuo.
Speaker of the programme, joint director, department of agriculture, Jacob Yanthan asserted on how the church need to change their thoughts to go further in life, in development and in soul winning. He said that to reach to a changing culture, the church needs to change, but not the message, he clarified. He re-embraced on how far they have come celebrating life and will continue to.
Yanthan reminded the congregation to remember the pioneers who started the gathering with a purpose and objective and encouraged them to uplift the responsibility bestowed upon them. He also focused on the advancement of technology, its merits and demerits. In this, the speaker encouraged all to take advantage and not to let the technology take advantage of them. He further encouraged the youths to be responsible and uphold what the elders have planted.
At the programme, words of God’s message was delivered by reverend RP Murry, special song was presented by Lotha Baptist Church Borlengri choir, Kohima Lotha Baptist Church and scripture reading by pastor Bichamo Yanthan.
The newly inducted committee members were also blessed by pastor reverend Zanao Mozhüi and for 2022 gathering prayer was proposed by associate pastor reverend Zubemo Ezung.
