Lotha Catholic Khumshum Kohima (LCKK) held a one-day retreat led by OFM Cap, Parish Priest of Lazami, Rev. Fr. Paul Inashe and team on July 20.
In a press release, LCKK informed that Fr. Paul focused on the importance of the Holy Eucharist in building strong Christian communities. As LCKK prepares to celebrate its Golden Jubilee, he urged members to deepen their faith and move beyond superficial belief, referencing Luke 5:4—“Launch into the deep.”
He noted that while the community may be 50 years old, spiritual growth is vital. “Faith must grow in service, unity, and mission,” Fr. Paul said.
Family values were also highlighted, with Fr. Paul reminding participants that family is a divine gift and must be protected to bring change in both society and the Church.
During the Holy Mass, Fr. Paul’s homily centered on spiritual renewal in families facing challenges of modern times.
The retreat concluded with blessings and words of encouragement for newly elected youth office bearers, who were reminded that leadership means serving the community with commitment.
