Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNYID) in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) had organized “legal awareness programme on gender sensitive legal measures for students” at Pfutsero Government College, Pfutsero (PGCP) on Wednesday.
Lawyer, Neite-o Koza spoke on “gender equality” and “basic legal rights” and lawyer, Akumla Longchari spoke on “online violence and exploitation of women and girls” and “human trafficking & immoral trafficking and prevention act”.
The programme was chaired by Pfutsero Government College, Pfutsero assistant professor, Vetanule Demo while an introduction to the legal awareness programme was done by Para Legal Volunteer (PLV) Zukhovelu, welcome address was delivered by Pfutsero Government College, Pfutsero vice principal, T.L. Singsit.
After the programme there was an interaction hour where students actively participated, giving their opinion and clearing their doubts from the resource persons. After which feedbacks were taken from the students.
