Legal awareness programme at Pungro

Kiphire District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) organised revamp of legal aid clinic-cum-legal awareness programme on August 7 at Pungro town. 

Delivering key note address, member secretary, Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), N Longshitung Ezung said that the purpose of legal service was to provide free and competent legal services to the weaker sections of the society. 
He also highlighted some of the National Legal Services Authority schemes to the congregations.
ADC Pungro town, Abhinav Shivam encouraged the people of Pungro town to come forward and get the benefits of legal rights/services through proper channel. He thanked Kiphire District Legal Services Authority for creating legal awareness programme in the remote areas. 
APP, Kiphire, Micheal Aye spoke on “Rights of arrested person” while “Nagaland Village and Tribal Council Act” was delivered by retainer lawyer, Kiphire DLSA, Bendangwati Sangtam. 
Earlier, in the programme chaired by DPA Kiphire DLSA, Rebica T Sangtam, the welcome address was delivered by CJM-cum-secretary Khiphire DLSA, Phuleto Yeptho. 
On the same day, the Legal Aid Clinic was inaugurated by N Lungshithung Ezung in the presence of ADC Pungro Town at ADC office compound.
