A Mega Legal Services Camp was organised by Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) and Zunheboto District Legal Services Authority (ZDLSA) in collaboration with government departments, stakeholders and NGOs on November 17, in Zunheboto.
A press release from the NSLSA public relations assistant stated that Justice Songkhupchong Serto, Gauhati High Court Judge, in his inaugural speech stated that to establish a society, state or county, equality and justice in all spheres should first be promoted. He said everyone should get a share from the national wealth and benefit from it. He spoke on the importance of letting entitlements reach the people in time to build a society where justice prevails and peace and tranquillity flourishes.
The Judge also inaugurated the Mega Legal Services Camp.
A welcome address was delivered by Niechochiyi Suyie, district sessions judge & chairperson ZDLSA, where he explained the objectives of the stalls.
Keynote address was given by Mezivolu T. Therieh member secretary, NSLSA.
District Child Protect Unit (DCPU) distributed scholarships to six students amounting to a sum of rupees twelve thousand, given away by Justice S. Serto.
Bloomfield Hill Higher Secondary School presented “Aphilio Kuwo” the war dance.
Short speeches were given by Shanavas C, DC, Zunheboto and Dr. C.W. Tungoe, chief medical officer, Zunheboto.
The chairperson, Atoka Achumi, JMFC & secretary ZDLSA, addressed the dignitaries and beneficiaries, and a vote of thanks was proposed by Limasenla Longkumer, project coordinator, NSLSA.
46 stalls were set up by NSLSA, government departments, stakeholders and NGOs. A total of 7,500 beneficiaries were registered in day long camp.
