Dimapur: Leiriechazou Panchayat, with free will donation carried out restoration work of the colony approach road from LFHSS to NST Colony Junction (NH2) under Ward No.16, Kohima Town Municipal, Kohima.
In a press note, panchayat chairman Thepfuzakie Angami said that this was the third time that the particular road, which has been completely neglected by the government since 2008, was restored by the general public since 2010.
Thepfuzakie said that the last phase of the restoration work with concrete, near NST garage, was likely to be carried out on April 18. In this regard, he informed that the work would disrupt vehicular movement for a wee. Therefore, all vehicular movements from either side shall be restricted from April 18-24 for curing of the concrete work and sought the cooperation of all residents.
The Panchayat further conveyed gratitude to the residents and all individuals and officials for generously contributing financially, materially and physically towards the success of the road restoration project.
