Metha noted the progress Nagaland has made with AstroTurfs and coaching programmes, stressing the state’s immense potential in football.
Special invitee Kuchi R. Zeliang, Founder of Barak FC, delivered an encouraging message focusing on self-care, faith, and community service. “Age is just a number. What matters is mindset, self-confidence, and loving yourself,” Zeliang remarked.
He urged players and spectators to align themselves with God, maintain good health, and contribute positively to society, underscoring the link between personal well-being and collective progress.
Both Metha and Zeliang extended their best wishes to the finalists, Lekie Mtei FC and Friends of Society and to the future of football in Nagaland.
