DIMAPUR: Lenrih Federation successfully held its 3rd annual general meeting (AGM) at Longmatra village under the theme “Empowering Every Voice.” The meeting brought together federation members, SHG leaders and representatives to review progress, strengthen collective efforts and chart the way forward.
In the first session, Atsope Sangtam, BPM Longmatra Block, encouraged members to strengthen ownership, unity and collective responsibility towards the federation.
The second session focused on the federation’s business agenda, facilitated by Longmatra Block Mission Management staff. Members reviewed activities, discussed future plans and deliberated on organisational growth and sustainability.
A key resolution was unanimously adopted to strengthen the federation fund: every SHG member under Lenrih Federation will voluntarily contribute a kilo of beans and other locally available vegetable produce.
The collected items will be marketed collectively, with income deposited into the Federation Fund to support future activities and ensure financial sustainability.
The AGM also witnessed the election of a new team of office bearers for the 2026–2029 tenure. Shapenthsi from Azikeh VLO Sanphure village was elected president, along with four other office bearers.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Khalila, member of Lenrih Federation, with invocation by Shenshethsi of VF Longmatra village and welcome address by outgoing president Telenthsi.
