As part of its project on the quarterly theme “Care for Air”, Leo Club of Dimapur in association with the traffic police of Dimapur carried out an awareness amongst the citizens of Dimapur with respect to air pollution.
The first phase was conducted at “Bata Charali Junction” on December 15 followed by second phase on December 16.
During the campaign, the club distributed masks to the pedestrians and those on two-wheelers.
Motorists stuck on traffic were also asked to switch off their engines if they have to wait for more than 30 seconds, and avoid unnecessary honking.
It also appealed to the people to switch off ACs, refrigerators, etc at home when not required. The project was headed by Leo Rishab Chabra, with the chairperson of president of Leo Club of Dimapur, Sital Sethi.
