Legislators’ Forum on AIDS (LFA) organised advocacy programme on HIV/AIDS with Shalom Bible Seminary (SBS) on October 8.
A press release from LFA Nagaland state consultant Dr. Vinito L. Chishi stated that, Hukatoli from LFA gave a presentation on HIV&AIDS scenario of Nagaland. She also shared the concern on increasing number of HIV infection in the state and highlighted social concern and responsibility with particular emphasis on its consequences, challenges and importance of responsible living.
Dr. Vinito L. Chishi, in his introductory speech shared that with the ever increasing HIV&AIDS scenario in Nagaland, there was a clarion call for church leaders to take initiative toward HIV&AIDS ministry for prevention, care and support.
He encouraged the students who are preparing to enter Christian ministry, to make use of their leadership opportunity by taking positive initiatives in addressing the issues related to HIV&AIDS with regard to reducing stigma, discrimination and prevention aiming towards creating an AIDS free generation.
