LH reaffirms dissociation from NH

Lotha Hoho (LH) has reacted sharply to the recent statement issued by the Naga Hoho (NH) which appeared to suggest that it (LH) was among some hohos who were being prevented from attending the Naga Hoho Federal Assembly meeting by a “Naga National organisation”.
Hitting out at Naga Hoho, LH chairman Mhao Humtsoe and general secretary Er. Mhondamo Ovung have expressed surprise that the Naga Hoho was still “unaware” that Lotha Hoho had dissociated since 2008 over the manner in which election for the post of NH president was carried out at Phek in 2008.
The two said this was reaffirmed by the Lotha Hoho and also published in all local media on September 6, 2016. Therefore, they said, Lotha Hoho will not recognise “any Lotha individual or organisation, who may attend any programme/meeting of the NH” and any individual or organisation attending NH meeting would be deemed as “self-styled and illegal”.
Further hitting out at NH, the LH said it was honouring its dissociation from NH in 2008 and which was not influenced by any organisation or individual but based on the “rift between the two hohos at Phek in 2008.” The two said LH has again reaffirmed its dissociation from the Naga Hoho in 2008 and “will continue to remain so”. It further reminded NH that the Central Nagaland Tribes Council of which LH is a constituent, “had also dissociated from the Naga Hoho vide media publication of 1st September 2016”.
LH also informed that it has endorsed this reaffirmation to all Naga tribal organisations of Nagaland for record.
