Against the backdrop of threat and intimidation by one L.Y. Abemo, who claimed to be from the NSCN (R), the Lotha Hoho (LH) has carried out verifications from other Lotha organizations but could not “transpired” the identity of the said person. In a press release, LH chairman, Mhao Humtsoe and general secretary, Er. Mhondamo Ovung alleged that Abemo with fictitious identity has been indulging in “intimidating” members of the Lotha Hoho and others in the community.
LH also dismissed Abemo’s claim that he belonged to Wokha village, since Wokha Village Council had in a written declaration confirmed that there was no such person by the name Abemo. In this regard, the hoho urged NSCN (R) to take necessary action in establishing the true identity and declare it to the public, in order to prevent any further misadventure, if there was any such person within its organisation.
LH also said that during Hoho’s meeting on March 9, it has resolved and declared to all concern, that the identity of Abemo has not been established. While condemning the misadventure of Abemo, the hoho warned that it would not tolerate defaming of Wokha village or any other, by indulging in intimidation activities.
LH has therefore cautioned that any organisation sponsoring such person would lose the support of the affected public.
