Noksen Fellowship Dimapur (NFD), celebrated its 25th anniversary under the theme “Unity in Love”, at W. Achila Chongsen residence Duncan Bosti, here on Saturday.
The celebration was graced by Limaonen Chang MLA as chief guest and Deputy Commissioner Dimapur Dr. Tinojongshi Chang as special guest along with several special invitees.
Addressing the gathering, Chang acknowledged the gatherings and shared the essence of jubilee which was about celebration, rejoice, freedom, forgiveness and thanksgiving to God.
He said at present, the society were filled with hatred and absence of sympathy, where people tend to focus more on individual weakness rather than positivity.
Maintaining that humans were not perfect and tend to do mistakes, he said with appreciation and maintaining greater relationship with each other, the society could progress further.
Chang also expressed gratitude to Chuchuyimlang people for their historic relationship with the Chang (Noksen) community, and appealed the Noksen community to present their identity as hospitable people for its people and other community.
He also described as God greater blessings for Noksen community settled in Dimapur and encouraged them to be humble, hospitable and contribute to the society according to their capacity.
DC Dimapur, Dr, Tinojongshi in his short speech, acknowledged the pioneers of NFD and encouraged the gatherings to have a prospect and objective for a better future.
He attributed the present progressive endeavors to the good deeds done by the pioneers and expressed hope that in next NFD golden jubilee celebration, they would witness prosperity and achievement based on the theme “Unity in love”.
Short speeches were also delivered by working president NDPP H. Chuba, pastor CBC, Dimapur Rev. Dr. Wongtochingmak, Noksen village council and Dimapur Area Chuchuyimlang Senso Telongjem.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Engineer Akhangjongshi and Y. Asen, invocation by pastor CBL, Diphupar B M. Chaba, convener O. Mongko, short history by W. Achila Chongshen, unveiling of souvenir by pastor NBL Dr. Alen, special presentation from Noksen Saoshuong, Saoshuong (in – laws) and I. Akok & Imsuchemla, vote of thanks by leader NFD Kekosang, sermon by Ngühlaubou and benediction by Shuong.
