Limited commercial activities allowed in Dmu

A day after the state chief secretary issued an order permitting several commercial activities in the state, DC Dimapur Anoop Kinchi has also permitted several activities in the district with immediate effect.

* Shops for truck repairs along the highway with stipulated minimum distance.

All shops including those in residential and market complexes except shops at multi-brand and single brand malls, outside the limits of municipalities and town councils with 50% strength of workers with wearing of masks and social distancing being mandatory. 

All shops including neighbourhood shops and standalone shops, shops in residential complexes within municipal limits and town except shops in market complex and multi-brand and single brand malls with 50% strength of workers with wearing of mask and social distancing being mandatory. (Shops to open only from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) 

However, all shops in New Market, Hong Kong Market, Hazi Park, MP Road, Railway bazaar and vegetable market in Purana Bazar shall remain closed. All weekly bazaar would continue to remain closed. 

At Nyamo Lotha Road (Church Road), only medical shops (whole sale and retailer) would be permitted to open. 

Containment zone (Marwaripatti, Murgipatti and GS Road) would continue to remain sealed.

Wholesale market of essential commodities would continue to operate from designated godowns.

Further, wholesale vegetable market would continue to operate from Supermarket area.

The wholesale medical market would continue to operate from Sosino Market, MP Road, GS Road and Nyamo Lotha Road (Church Road).

All Public transportation including autorickshaw, cabs services would also remain prohibited. 

Salons, dine-in restaurants, eateries and departmental stores shall continue to remain closed. However, home deliveries from dine-in restaurants food outlets and delivery of online order of essential commodities would be permitted. 

Proprietors of the shops and establishments, which were allowed to open, would make arrangements for keeping hand sanitizer or providing facilities for hand washing with soap and water for the public as well as for their own staff workers. 

They have also been asked to get the door handles, surfaces and other objects frequently touched by people to be regularly cleaned and disinfected. 

However, as specified in the lock down measures, National COVID-19 directive and standard operating procedure protocol for social distancing must be ensured. 

DC cautioned that any person violating the order would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provisions of Section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act 2005 besides legal action under Section 188 of the IPC.
