Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland condoles demise of Sushil Kumar

Linguistic Minority Forum of Nagaland (LMFN) has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Sushil Kumar, who passed away at his Pune residence on February 18. He was 65.
In a condolence, LMFN chairman Bishnu Bhattacharjee, stated that late Sushil began his career as a journalist with Nagaland Post before venturing into the socio-political field, where he worked extensively in remote areas of Nagaland in various capacities.
He was also a former member of the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN).
During his political career, he was associated at different periods with Janata Dal (United), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
The forum noted that he was the first media in-charge associated with the BJP in 1991 and played a key role in setting up a BJP candidate for the Lok Sabha election.
Describing his demise as an immense loss to both his family and the people of Nagaland, LMFN said Sushil was known for his intellectual depth, fearless opinions and unwavering commitment to social and political causes. It stated that as a journalist, socio-political leader and social worker, he served society with dedication and sincerity, earning respect across communities and political lines.
On behalf of the minority community living in Nagaland, LMFN conveyed heartfelt condolences to his children, Achinta and Jigyasha, and prayed that the Almighty grant eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
