Lipokmar Tzudir has stepped down as director of the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC).
Though the reason for his resignation was not made known, sources at NEZCC said his illustrious tenure saw tremendous improvement and excellence in all aspects.
Tzudir, who was also instrumental for streamlining the activities of NEZCC and for ushering in the funds for development of ‘North East Heritage Museum’ at NEZCC complex besides others, remarked: “It has been both a pleasure and an honour to have worked with so many great people at NEZCC. I am extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish together with my most dedicated staff during my tenure as director”. He further remarked that the NEZCC was a mighty asset for Nagaland by virtue of its establishment in the state. Hence, he said “the people of Nagaland should be always grateful, supportive and vigilant to ensure that outside forces does not disrupt its progress”
“There’s definitely a mixed feeling on stepping down at this juncture where there are still so many dreams to achieve at the Centre, however, I am most confident in knowing that I leave behind a highly determined and committed group of people at NEZCC to see it through,” he added.
It was learned that the Director of Eastern Zone Cultural Centre, Dr. OP Bharti has been given additional charge of NEZCC.
