LKM celebrates 78th foundation day

Mokokchung, JUN 22 (NPN): Langpangkong Students’ Conference (LKM) celebrated its 78th foundation day at Chuchuyimlang Town Hall on Monday, marking over seven decades of dedicated service towards the welfare, unity and advancement of the student community and the people of Langpangkong.
Tracing its origin to June 22, 1948, when visionary leaders came together to promote educational and social progress among the youth, LKM reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing responsible leadership and preserving the rich heritage of the range.
The commemorative programme was graced by Ao Senden president, Marsanen Imsong, as guest of honour. A highlight of the event was the presentation of the late L. Pangersowa Trust Award for Academic Excellence, instituted in memory of one of LKM’s founding pioneers. This year’s recipient, Imnayangla of Unger village, was honoured with citations and cash awards for her exemplary achievement in the HSLC examination.
The programme also featured special presentations, tributes to the founding fathers, and messages from organisations and well wishers.
As LKM celebrates 78 years of existence, the organisation reiterated its resolve to contribute meaningfully to society through education, service and community engagement.
